The Tooth Fairy

We have lost 2 teeth this week.
Let me just tell you what a loser the tooth fairy was. He did well the first night, and 3 shiny quarters were found in the tooth fairy pillow. However, when she lost/had pulled the second tooth, well that night the tooth fairy fell asleep on the job. The next morning a sad little girl came down the stairs saying the tooth fairy never came!!!!!!!!!! She was holding the tooth so there was no way to say oh, maybe it fell underneath the bed, and with a little sleight of hand make it all better. So what is a loser parent/tooth fairy to do?? Lie, yes lying still works on 5 year olds. Well honey maybe she was too busy...and then she gives you the story you need when she says she stayed up trying to catch the tooth fairy.

Me: You stayed up all night???

Liv: Yes, all night

Me: Oh, well that is why she(He) throwing a disgusted look at my husband, didn't come. You have to be asleep for the tooth fairy to come. Hey it works with Santa, so she might buy it...

Liv: Yeah, that's right I didn't go to sleep. Okay, she bounces away sure that the tooth fairy will make an appearance tonight...

Guess What Liv went to sleep and the tooth fairy came last night!!
