Easter Highlights

Saturday night after coloring Easter eggs we hunted these cool glow in the dark eggs with little flashlights. I think the novelty was being out at night with the flashlights looking for stuff!

Easter Egg Coloring at Mimi & Poppa's house

On Saturday I picked up Maddy and told her about Minnie. She took it really well, and said, "Maybe God had a plan for Minnie's death (sadly I thought yeah, like lunch for some wild animal) and maybe another kitty needs a good home." So we went to the cat protection society in Eustis and found Miley. Miley is a 7-8 month old kitty found on a nearby farm. She is so sweet and has slept with Maddy the last couple of nights. So Maddy is healing with Miley's help...

Easter Baskets. The Easter Bunny came and brought toys and games since we are a peanut free basket home. He did find three hollow bunnies that were peanut free!!

We hunted Eggs at my parents house, and the golden Eggs held littlest petshop pets....

Easter with Grandma Shirley & Mimi & Poppa

Unfortunately I have no beautiful Easter dress pics. With all the drama of last week I did not finish Maddy's skirt. On top of the cat missing, Maddy and I testing down in Orlando Thursday & Friday, and Olivia catching a nasty fever virus, I just couldn't pull it together. Well Liv was still fevering on Sunday so we stayed home from church. It felt soo weird. I can not ever remember not being able to go to church on Easter Sunday. Well we still celebrated at home...He is risen!!

Sounds like you had a great Easter. The nighttime hunting of eggs sounds really cool. We might have to try that next year. I hope that Liv get's to feeling better. I'm glad that Maddy took Minnie missing so well, and she could find Miley. I'm going to miss not being able to come down this Spring break. It's kinda like not going to Church on Easter Sunday. I am off Friday, call me if you get a chance. I have tried to call several times this week and I can't get a hold of anyone. We love you and miss you very much. Love Aunt Nae

You guys dyed a LOT of eggs! Wow--we only did a dozen, each kid got to do four. They really wanted to do more so I think we will next year. Who gets to eat all those eggs???

Shamefully only a few were eaten. Ideally I should have refridgerated them and made egg salad and deviled eggs...

That is always our problem too...we color about 3 dozen and then do the unthinkable with them...BEAUTIFUL new kitty! I think the kids look great and what a great idea for the glow in the dark eggs...I have never seen or heard of that..a sure new tradition for us next year. A day time hunt for the little one and a night time one for the older ones! We have GOT to get Ethan on a cover...

Great pictures. Sorry to hear about the other kitty. Don't you hate the food chain when it comes to a pet? =(

Hope the new kitty is doing well.
