I have been convicted lately of the need to play with my children. I am often wrapped up in getting my "To Do" list checked off. Organizing our home, dishes, laundry, obligations, and the list goes on and on... Well I do not want my kids to remember that our mom had a clean house, but wasn't really fun .
Well do all those lists leave time to be the coolest mom ever? I am not talking jelly bracelets, blue mascara, snake skin leather miniskirt, 80's mom cool...But High School Musical cool.
So, what's a mom to do? Those two little words that guarantee a sleepless night, bags under the eyes and huge pot of coffee the next morning- Yes, a Slumber Party!!

I think this has elevated me to a whole new level of "mom" cool. That is until Sunday morning when they get their chore list to clean up said slumber party!!!!!!AWWW, mom!!!!

Sari told everyone she ran into all weekend that she had been to a slumber party! You are definitely a cool mom in her book :-).

You are a brave momma but I bet you had a lot of fun doing this. I too struggle with the need to just "play" with the kids and not be consumed with the endless tasks that seem louder at times. This is a great reminder to "consider our ways" ~ Great Post!
