Yep, that would be in my home is where my wild thing lives. I find myself telling strangers, "I am not sure I am going to make it...I'm too old for this.....he might WIN..." Well this week has tested me on a whole new level. I thought 2 was bad but as we get nearer to 3 I am terrified.
On our way home from Atlanta, with 4 children, during rush hour, in the middle of the city, Maddy dropped my cell phone in my coffee cup. Completely and utterly fried. Only a 8 hour drive in front of me-what did we do before cell phones???
We made it home minus one cell phone, and the next day Ethan took my back up phone and poured dish soap in the ear piece and ran it under the water...grr.... Hello, AT&T do you sell a waterproof phone. Thankfully we have insurance, because this is not the first case of water damage to a phone of mine. I have had 4 previous water damage mishaps (usually involving children and some type of swearing) I wont repeat what I said in downtown Atlanta....
The cell phone was dead by 8:30 in the morning, to which Ethan moved onto pouring a whole tube of toothpaste on my bathroom floor and finger painting... Who knew toothpaste could make a 2 year old scream so loud when he rubbed his eyes????
Well this isn't even 2:00 yet, so there is plenty of day left to, oh say flood the upstairs bathroom.... Yes I heard the oddest sound coming from upstairs. Like a tinkling..cold fear gripped my heart when I saw a wet child at the top of the stairs, saying," mommy I show you...."
Yes he showed me how he could stuff a towel in the drain and fill up the sink until it waterfalls off the counter, and gushes out into the carpet.... Did I mention I was trying to cook dinner...Not steam clean the carpets. There is a beautiful spot on the downstairs ceiling to remember this by
After that rough day I spent the evening shutting off water to all non essential bathrooms, locking doors, and babygating areas of possible interest....
That was before I realized when there is a will...there is a way... fast forward to nap time the next day. I am in my room on the computer, Ethan is upstairs asleep, or so I thought. As I walk out to the kitchen I meet Ethan covered in butter with a butter knife in his hand. "I butter....I butter..." he said. A trail of butter footprints led to the stairway where he did literally "butter".

And finally to top off this run of mischief, Ethan woke up this morning and snuck (as Maddy said) more like tromped( as evidenced by what I heard from downstairs) into Maddy's room and opened a bottle of fingernail polish. He painted himself, the wall, and then dumped it out on the carpet.........All while his sisters were fast asleep. He came downstairs and proudly announced, "I paint on the wall."
Pray for Ethan........and his mommy

He is going to keep you on your toes. Don't let your guard down. =)
I like the new look! I also like the way you have the books, The one on mine is not very user friendly.
Wow! He is one active boy. He might grow up to be the next Ty Pennington. I read he was always into things when he was growing up.
